Ten City Council districts are participating in the 2013-2014 Participatory Budgeting cycle: District 5 (Kallos), District 8 (Mark-Viverito), District 23 (Weprin), District 31 (Richards), District 33 (Levin), District 38 (Menchaca), District 39 (Lander), District 44 (Greenfield), and District 45 (Williams). Find out if you live in one of these districts.

The participatory budgeting process involves a series of meetings that feed into the city’s annual budget cycle. The 2013-2014 process includes five main steps, beginning in September 2013 with Neighborhood Assemblies and concluding with the vote in early April, 2014.

From November to February, budget delegates will transform their communities' initial project ideas into full proposals. They then present their proposals to the public during Project Expos in February and March, and voting occurs in early-April, 2014.
